The Speaker, Ekiti State House of Assembly, Rt.Hon. Funminiyi Afuye has commended the Governor of Ekiti of State, Dr. John Kayode Fayemi for his purposeful and meaningful leadership to the people of Ekiti.
Afuye made the statement during the commissioning of the Iro Ayeteju Civic Center in Gbonyin Local Government and the renovation of SUBEB Primary School, Ikere Ekiti.
The Speaker, who represented Dr. Fayemi to commission some of the projects executed during his one year in office, said the monumental achievements recorded by the governor, are an attestation to the Fayemi led administration’s commitment to deliver on his electioneering promises to the people of the state.
He applauded the governor for rightly working towards achieving his administration’s five point agenda which include infrastructural and industrial development.
He stated that the governor’s resolve to complete the uncompleted civic center in Iro ayeteju community since 2013 is based on his commitment to touch every part of the state.
Afuye, while commissioning the renovation of the SUBEB primary school in Ikere, reiterated the present administration’s zeal to address the challenges millitating against having access to basic and qualitative education in Ekiti. He assured that the government is doing everything possible to upgrade infrastructures in all public primary school across the state.
He however urged the people of both communities to keep supporting the Fayemi Ied government for more dividends of democracy.
Showing appreciation, the two communities extended their gratitude to the governor and promised to always support his government all through the remaining three years of his administration.
