Senior Special Assistant on Political Organizations to Governor Mohammed Abdullahi Abubakar of Bauchi State, Mallam Isah Abou Yusuf, has been Patron of the APC Igbo forum in the state

In a well attended ceremony at Zaranda Hotel on Sunday in Bauchi , chairman of the forum, Chief Richard Onovo said the choice of Abou Yusuf to serve as patron of the forum was as a result of a consensus reached by the entire membership of the forum which, according to him, “is a clear testimony of the detribalized nature of Governor M A Abubakar and the Governor’s aide”.

Chief Onovo said that in the three months period that the new patron had been in office , APC Igbo Forum had witnessed a remarkable effort on the part of Abou Yusuf in mainstreaming the Igbos in the scheme of governance in Bauchi describing it as a “noble, accommodating and generous gesture on the part of Governor M A Abubakar”.

Responding on being conferred as patron of the forum, Yusuf said no amount of words said can thank the forum enough for finding him worthy of such honor, promising that , “ I would do everything within the powers and mandate of my office to see that what is due to you, gets to you”.

The new patron then solicited the support, cooperation and prayers of the forum and all other ethnic groups living in the state , especially in this critical time of economic recession, towards the development agenda of Governor M A Abubakar to succeed saying “ we can all see the infrastructural development that is taking place because of the focused and purposeful leadership style of our amiable Governor, despite the biting economic recession.”

Yusuf further maintained that mainstreaming ethnic groups living in the state in the scheme of governance has been part of the campaign promise of Governor Abubakar and that creating office of the SSA on political organizations is another step toward fulfilling that promise by the Governor.

High point of event was the presentation of letter confirming Yousuf as patron and dressing him up in a complete regalia of an Igbo chief.
