Coronavirus Kills Former Olympique Marseille Boss, Pape Diouf

Former Olympique de Marseille president, Pape Diouf, has died of coronavirus contamination.

AFP quoted a family source who confirmed Diouf’s death on Tuesday night.

Diouf, 68, was hospitalized in Dakar with respiratory problems. He was to be transferred to Nice on a medical plane, but his health prevented the flight.

Former journalist and players’ agent, Diouf, 68, chaired the French club between 2005 and 2009.

He served on the coaching staff that led the club to the French championship title in 2010, after 17 years in line.
