FG to Support Bauchi State in Developing Master Plan on Industrialization

Minister for State, Trade and Investment, Hajiya Yalwaji Katagum, has assured that the ministry will support Bauchi State  government to come up with master plan on industrialization as part of efforts to ensure speedy transformation of the state.

The Minister stated this in her office when she received delegation from Bauchi State under the leadership of Senator Bala Mohammed that paid her a courtesy visit.

A statement issued by the Special Assistant to the Governor on New Media Lawal Mu’azu quoted the Minister  saying that  the need for partnership between the ministry and the Bauchi State government cannot be over emphasized.

“Your Excellency, as you know, our ministry was mandated to provide conducive environment for business community and to contribute to the enhancement of the nation’s economy through Small and Medium Enterprises among others.”

Earlier in his remark, Governor Mohammed  said  they were in the office of the Minister to pledge the   total support of his administration in order to take the sector to the next level of development.

The governor said the state government deemed it necessary to support the Minister to enable her succeed in the discharge of her assigned responsibilities.

According to him, Bauchi State is blessed with arable land for agricultural activities and enterprenueral  development that,  when properly  harnessed, will assist the state to overcome some of the challenges in wealth creation and employment.

” The Honourable Minister, you have make us proud, i am sure you are  up to the task, I want to assure you of my support in the execution of your responsibilities.

” We will do everything possible to ensure your success, however I want you to assist us to get multilateral assistance from international organizations.

The governor said the visit was to discuss with the minister on how her ministry can assist the state government to ensure the advancement of small and medium enterprises for economic development.

Governor Mohammed used the forum to express his gratitude to the ministry for the recent training of 200 women in Ningi Local Government and the flag off of the enterprenuership training in Azare.
