Liverpool Forward, Mane, Donates £41,000 to His Country  to Fight Coronavirus


Liverpool FC striker, Sadio Mane, has made a donation of around £41,000 to the national committee fighting coronavirus in his home country of Senegal.

The Senegalese forward, who has had an impressive season so far until the English Football Association halted the ongoing English Premiership Season due to coronavirus, announced the donation on his social media page on Tuesday. 

According to official reports, Senegal has the second most Coronavirus in Sub-Sahara Africa behind South Africa. 

Meanwhile, Macky Sall, President of Senegal, on Saturday ordered all schools and universities closed for the next three weeks and religious festivals and religious festivals cancelled in response to a Coronavirus outbreak that has infected over 24 in the past two weeks.
