Ndume Fumes, Kicks against Proposed Bill for the Creation of Agency to Rehabilitate, De-radicalize Boko Haram Terrorists


Senator Ali Ndume has reacted to a newly introduced bill set to create an agency for repentant insurgents.

The senator from Borno State, who also doubles  as the Chairman Senate Committee on Army,  in an interview with Channels Television, said he was completely against the bill.

He said: The Boko Haram Bill is aimed at creating a national agency that would see to the rehabilitation, de-radicalisation, and integration of repentant insurgents in the country.”

The bill, which passed First Reading on Thursday, is being sponsored by Senator Ibrahim Geidam of Yobe State.
