The Politico is a publication of Veritas Media Limited. It debuted in December 2010 as the first national niche magazine on politics, economy and development in Nigeria. It was a creation of a term paper inspired by Profs. Cathy Chute and Leonard Kopelman of Harvard University in the Fall of 2009.
Mustapha Shehu (Mustash), its founder and CEO/Editor-in-chief, holds a Bachelor's degree in CHEMISTRY from Ahmadu Bello University (ABU) in Zaria, Nigeria; a postgraduate Diploma in SHIPPING TECHNOLOGY from Maritime Academy of Nigeria, Oron, a Master's degree in JOURNALISM from Harvard University, and a Master’s degree in INTERNATIONAL RELATIONS from Tufts University’s The Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy.
Mr. Shehu has reported for THISDAY Newspaper in Nigeria and the Bay State Banner in Boston, MA, USA before founding The Politico magazine.
