Apapa Port Recorded N3.6trn Export Value in Q1— NBS


Apapa Port recorded the highest export value in the first quarter of 2020 among Nigerian ports, according to the latest National Bureau of Statistics reports. 

According to NBS report, the value of export in Apapa Port, Lagos, in the period under review stood at N3.6trn while Port Harcourt (3) Port in Rivers State recorded the second highest export value. 

The bureau added that Tin Can Island Port (TCIP), also located in Lagos, recorded N96.9bn export value in the period under review, while MM Cargo value stood at N33.9bn.

Other ports include; Calabar Port (N8.9bn), Murtala Muhammed International Airport (7.2bn), Kano airport (1.6bn), Adamawa area command (88.4m), Port Harcourt (1) (82.3) and Niger area command (71.8m).
