President Muhammadu Buhari has said if Nigerian youth want jobs, they should behave themselves and make the country secure.
The President stated this on Thursday in an interview with Arise TV.
Speaking on the rate of unemployment, Buhari said no foreign investor will invest in a country without security.
The President, who appeared to be blaming the widespread insecurity on the youth, said they must behave themselves if they want jobs.
According to the National Bureau of Statistics, unemployment rate in the country rose to 33.3% in the fourth quarter of 2020.
Many economy experts have linked the rise in poverty and unemployment rate to the widespread insecurity in the country.
One of the campaign promises which won Buhari, a former military head of state, the presidential election in 2015 was to fight insecurity in the country.
