Another bomb blast has rocked a Shiite mosque in the Afghan city of Kandahar, a hospital spokesman told AFP.
The blast which happened on Friday killed at least 32 people while 53 were wounded.
The incident comes exactly a week after a bomb blast hit a Shiite mosque in the city of Kunduz, killing 55 persons.
The blast was claimed by the Islamic State group.
“Thirty-two bodies and 53 wounded people have been brought to our hospital so far,” the medic in the southern city’s central hospital said.
An eyewitness told AFP he heard three explosions, one at the main door of the mosque, another at a southern area, and a third where worshippers wash.
