The Presidency has denied speculations going round that President Muhammadu Buhari will no longer return to London for follow-up medical checks.
Presidential spokesman, Garba Shehu, told State House correspondents on Thursday that contrary to the news going round, the President had not brought the doctors to Nigeria.
Confirming that the President will return to London as planned, Shehu did not however specify his date of departure.
“It is false news (that Buhari is no longer going to London). We are not aware of the reported advance movements.
“The last time the President spoke about this, he said he would return to his doctors after some time.
“We are not aware that this has changed,” he said.
Buhari had shortly after he returned to the country from a medical vacation in London, told Nigerians he would return to the country after some weeks for follow-up checks.
