Buhari to Spend 20 Days on Latest Trip to Saudi Arabia, UK

President Muhammadu Buhari will, on Monday, leave the country for Saudi Arabia to participate in the Economic Forum of the Future Investment Initiative (FII) in Riyadh, the capital of the Kingdom.

The President in his latest trip is expected to spend 20 days before returning to the country as he will also proceed to the UK on a private visit.

According to a statement by the Special Adviser to the President on media and publicity, Femi Adesina, on Monday, the president will hold bilateral talks with King Salman and King of Jordan, Abdullah II during his stay in the Kingdom.

“On Wednesday, 30th October, 2019, the President will participate in the High Level Event titled “What is next for Africa: How will Investment and Trade Transform the continent into the Next Great Economic Success Story?” with Presidents of Kenya, Congo-Brazzaville and Burkina Faso,” the statement added.

The President is also scheduled to go to the United Kingdom on Saturday at the end of the summit for a private visit.

He will return to the country on November 17, according to the statement.

The president’s trip is coming less than three days after returning from Russia where he attended Africa-Russia Summit, despite criticisms by the public on his frequent trips.
