The Chief of Staff to President Bola Tinubu, Femi Gbajabiamila has, on Saturday, while speaking at the 2025 Dialogue Session of the Northern Caucus of the National Forum of Former Legislators in Abuja, requested political leaders in northern Nigeria to back the president’s 2027 re-election bid.
Portraying President Tinubu as detribalized and non-sectional, Gbajabiamila said “President Tinubu is not just a Southern leader; he is a national leader who has carried every region along. From critical infrastructure to policy reforms, the North is benefitting from a government that believes in equity and shared prosperity.”
Further justifying why President Tinubu needs a second term, the President’s Chief of Staff added that “We are laying solid foundations today, and it is only right that the President is allowed to finish what he started.”
Upon conclusion of the dialogue, the Northern Caucus issued a communiqué affirming its support for the continuation of the Southern Presidency and formally endorsing Tinubu for re-election in 2027.
