Italy has been the worst hit by the disease outside of China, where it started, prompting the country to announce a nationwide lockdown till April 3.

Football and all other sports in the country have also been suspended until April 3 in the nation of 60 million population.

Juventus announced the result of the test carried out on the defender on its website and social media channels.

The club said Rugani and “those who have had contact with him” are being isolated. It also said Rugani is not showing any symptoms of the disease.
