Nigeria recorded 55 new cases of COVID-19 on Wednesday which took total confirmed number of infections so far to 165,110.
The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control announced this via its Twitter handle Friday evening.
The cases were discovered in seven states and the Federal Capital Territory with Lagos returning 21 positive samples, the highest for the day.
Others are Yobe-19, Ogun-6, Akwa Ibom-3, Kaduna-2, Plateau-2, FCT-1 and Rivers-1.
Persons who have recovered from the virus rose to 155,101 while death toll remains 2,063 as no fatality was recorded.
NCDC statistics shows further that active cases across isolation centres in the country is now 7,951.
