Nigeria recorded 81 new cases of COVID-19 on Wednesday which took total confirmed number of infections so far to 164,993.
The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control announced this via its Twitter handle on Wednesday evening.
The cases were discovered in ten states and the Federal Capital Territory which returned three positive samples.
Lagos recorded 26 cases which is the highest number posted by any state while Enugu recorded 13.
Others are Ogun-8, Rivers-6, Kano-6, Kaduna-5, Plateau-5, Akwa Ibom-4, Delta-3 and Edo-2.
Persons who have recovered from the virus rose to 155,021 while death toll remains 2,063 as no fatality was recorded.
NCDC statistics shows further that active cases across isolation centres in the country is now 7,837.
