The acting Managing Director of the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC), Professor Daniel Pondei, has collapsed while answering questions bordering on fraud from the House of Representatives Probe Panel set up to probe the allegation on Monday.
The panel is probing an allegation of N40b allegedly misappropriated by the leadership of the commission.
Recall that Pondei had walked out on the probe panel last week, insisting that the chairman of the panel, Hon. Bunmi-Tunji Ojo , must recuse himself from the panel having been accused of bias.
Just before the panel began sitting on Monday, Tunji-Ojo, who is the Chairman, House Committee on NDDC, stepped down as chairman of the panel.
Following the collapse of Pondei, the panel quickly adjourned its sitting.
