Lagos Police Command on Sunday disclosed that they uncovered a suspected baby factory and rescued 19 pregnant girls at Ikotun area of the state.
Police Public Relations Officer, Bala Elkana, also disclosed that two suspects were arrested.
The police revealed that they acted on an intelligence report and swooped on the operators at their base on 14 Adisa Street, Ayanwale area of Ikotun.
The suspects were said to have brought girls to Lagos from the South East to be impregnated while babies were sold between N500,000 (male) and N300,000 for (female).
The principal suspect who was identified as Madam Oluchi, from Imo State, was said to have escaped.
