The Nigerian Senate has confirmed the nomination of Kingsley Obiora as a Deputy Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria.
President Muhammadu Buhari, in a letter to the Senate, had nominated Kingsley Obiora as a Deputy Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria
Thereafter, Senate President Ahmed Lawan referred the letter to the Committee on Banking Insurance and Other Financial Crimes.
Obiora appeared before the committee, chaired by Senator Uba Sani, on Wednesday, January 29, 2020.
In view of the confirmation by the Senate, Obiora will replace Dr. Joseph Okwu Nnanna, who retires from the Bank on February 2, 2020.
