The Senate has passed the 2022 Appropriation Bill for second reading.
The upper chamber on Wednesday passed the bill during plenary and adjourned till November 9 for budget defence.
The President of the Senate, Ahmad Lawan, referred the Appropriation Bill to the Committee on Appropriation, directing them to report back in four weeks.
This followed the conclusion of the general principles of the budget, with each senator baring their minds on the contents of the fiscal document.
President Muhammadu Buhari last week presented N16.39 trillion as the 2022 budget proposal before a joint session of the National Assembly.
