The Commissioner of Police, Austine Agbolahor, disclosed this to newsmen, stating hat his command is ready for the conduct of the elections and assured that his command would be professional in the discharge of their duties.
Agbolahor noted that his predecessor Hafiz Inuwa has laid a solid foundation for effective policing, noting that he would build on the foundation laid.
While appreciating the effort so far made, the police boss solicited for cooperation from the public, noting that effective policing requires cooperation from the members of the public.
He warned those planning to foment trouble to desist from such action as his command ias armed to deal with any troublemaker in the state.
The police boss assured the public to come out and vote for the candidate of their choice, saying that their security is guaranteed as his men would ensure the safety of men and electoral materials.
He noted tha although Cross River State has been categorized as Red Zone, he assured that his command is equal to the task of providing adequate security during elections.
